Guided tour in Polish
Reykjavík City Museum is offering a guided tour in Polish on Sunday, September 22, at 14:30 in Aðalstræti. Marta Wieczorek, assistant principal of the Polish School in Reykjavík, will lead the tour.
The tour will start at Aðalstræti 16, featuring an exhibition on Reykjavík's evolution from its settlement to the present day. Here, visitors can see the ruins of a 10th-century longhouse and learn about the lives of Reykjavík's first inhabitants. The tour will then move to Aðalstræti 10, the oldest house in the centre of Reykjavík, where there is an exhibition on the city's development to the present day. The guided tour is free of charge and is open to anyone who speaks Polish. The area around Aðalstræti is accessible, but visitors should be aware that there is limited lighting inside the exhibition hall near the ruins, and the floor may be uneven. Service dogs are welcome. Buses stop at the Town Hall and in Lækjargata for those using public transportation.
