Dance - Cover
Welcome to the performance of the dance piece Cover at Árbær Open Air Museum on Saturday, November 2 at 14:00. Free entry!
Dance students will perform the piece Cover. The piece is based on the works Carmen, Mambo, Compás and Demo-N/Crazy, which was originally performed by the dance group DCCCUBA. Instead of showing the pieces in their original version, the pieces were reworked and the result is a so-called "cover" piece. The event is organized in collaboration with Hitt húsið and is part of Unglist, an art festival for young people. Accessibility: The event will take place in a house at Árbær Open Air Museum called Landakot. Accessibility in Landakot is good. The walkway by the house is heated and a ramp leads to a lift for wheelchairs. The elevator is locked, so guests need to ask the staff for assistance to use it. On the 1st floor of the building there is a toilet for people in wheelchairs and an exhibition. The doorways in the house are wide and suitable for wheelchairs. There is a staircase leading up to the exhibition on the upper floor. Service dogs are welcome at the museum. 🐕 Buses, routes 12 and 24, stop at Höfðabakki, right next to the museum. Route 16 stops at Strengur (5 min. walk) and route 5 at Rofabær (6 min. walk).
