Are you learning Icelandic? - Guided tour in easy-to-understand Icelandic

On Saturday, 9 May, we celebrate the anniversary of the Settlement Exhibition and offer a guided tour for people who are learning Icelandic. Katleen Abbeel will be guiding the tour in easy-to-understand Icelandic. The guided tour is at 14:00-15:00 and is part of the anniversary program of the Settlement Exhibition. The exhibition is 20 winters old, which means 20 years, but in the olden days, age was counted in winters and not years.
The guided tour starts at the Settlement Exhibition, Aðalstræti 16. There you'll find the ruins of a house from the 10th century and an exhibition about the life of the first inhabitants of Reykjavík. The guided tour continues in the oldest house in the centre of Reykjavík, Aðalstræti 10. There is an exhibition about the development of Reykjavík to the present day. The guided tour is free and is for people who are learning Icelandic, both for beginners and those who know more. The museum is a good place to practice Icelandic. Access is good in Aðalstræti. Please note, however, that there is dim lighting inside the exhibition hall by the ruins and the floor is uneven. Assistance dogs are welcome in the museum. Buses: The nearest stops are MR and Rádhúsið (2-5 min. walk). Further information about the exhibition: https://borgarsogusafn.is/syningar/adalstraeti
