Paper Fleets and Fish - Open Origami Workshop on Culture Night

On the occasion of Culture Night, an open origami workshop for children and families will be held on 23 August from 10:00 to 16:00. Instructions will be on site for a boat, fish and a ship's cat. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

At the Maritime Museum you can see all kinds of boats and colourful fish. The little row boat Farsæll at the exhibit Fish & folk as well as the Coast Guard vessel Óðinn and tug boat Magni, which are by the harbour. Sometimes a cat even visits the museum, but whether it's a true ship's cat or just a regular one is unknown. The workshop is open and flexible – drop in whenever it suits you and participate at your own pace. This event is part of the Reykjavík City Museum’s diverse program for Culture Night. Accessibility is good at the Reykjavík Maritime museum, and guide dogs are welcome in the museum.
