Big Chess Tournament
The Árbær Open Air Museum and Reykjavik Chess Association hold their chess tournament on Sunday, September 1st starting at 14:00.
Seven rounds will be played, with a thinking time of 4 minutes plus 2 seconds additional time after each game (4+2). The top three places will receive prizes of ISK 15,000, 15,000, and 5,000. The tournament will count towards international rapid chess rankings. The tournament is open to everyone, and the participant’s fee is 2.350 kr. This includes admission to the Museum. Children, disabled people, and holders of the Reykjavík Culture Pass and the City card get free access. You will have to register for the tournament here. See the ticket button. Everyone is welcome!
