Whittling Workshop - Registration Required

Whittling Workshop - Registration Required

The week of 6-10 July, a fun one-day mini-course in wood whittling will be held at Árbær Open Air Museum with carpenter Bjarni Þór Kristjánsson. The course is from 13:00-16:00.

There, kids will learn the correct techniques for wood whittling with a knife, as well as learning to drill with an old-fashioned hand drill. At the end of the course, a small campfire will be lit and the kids will get to grill bread on a skewer, weather permitting. Please note that children under 9 years of age are expected to be accompanied by an adult. The fee is 3.100 kr. per child and all ingredients are included in the price. The fee is paid on arrival at the museum. If adults choose to join in, they pay the same price. Registration is required and can be done here: https://outlook.office.com/book/vidburdir_borgarsogusafn@reykjavik.is/?ismsaljsauthenabled Please book only one child at a time and for one day, as spots are limited.
