Turf and Stone - Exhibition during Children's Culture Festival

3rd grade students from Ártúnsskóli came to Árbær Open Air Museum this spring and listened to Sigrún Eldjárn, the beloved author and artist, read from her latest book "Torf, grjót og burnirót". After the reading, the children were able to craft their own turf farm in the spirit of the book. The turf farms will be on exhibition in the Líkn building, at the museum's square, on the occasion of the Children's Culture Festival, which takes place from 20-26 April. All are welcome.

Accessibility: Most of the paths in the museum area are gravel paths. Most of the buildings are accessed by climbing one step or crossing a threshold. Assistance dogs are welcome in the museum. Buses: The nearest bus stop is Árbæjarsafn (1 min. walk). Other nearby bus stops are Laxakvísl and Fagribær (5-6 min. walk). Parking for people with disabilities is available at the museum entrance. All parking is free.
