Weathered - Exhibition Talk with María Kjartans
On the occasion of Museum Night 7 February at 20:00, María Kjartans, chairman of FÍSL, will welcome guests to talk about the exhibition Weathered. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. Please note that the talk will be in Icelandic.
The exhibition comprises works by FÍSL — The Icelandic Contemporary Photography Association members and is part of the Icelandic Photography Festival 2025. The exhibition aims to reflect on the role of photography in contemporary art and art history. It also explores how photography can be defined unconventionally, as the artists examine the relationship between man and his environment. Access for people with disabilities is good. Service dogs are welcome at the museum. Public transport: The nearest bus stops are called Hafnarhús, Lækjartorg, Ráðhúsið (2–5 min. away). Parking places are available by the museum and in neighbouring parking houses in Vesturgata 7 and Hafnartorg.
