The diary is the flow of life and he does not categorize the photos as specific projects, but rather they are pictures of his daily life taken over a period of twenty years. The photographs are entries in the diary, and the selection of photos for the exhibition, over 100 photos from tens of thousands of photos, is no less important than the photography itself.

Einar Falur has a comprehensive knowledge of photography and, due to his work as a newspaper photographer, he has traveled more widely than many people over the years. He therefore has a collection of photographs from many different places around the world. Einar Falur was raised with Cartier-Bresson's basic concept of the decisive moment, when mind, heart and hand work together to seize the moment. It is important for the photographer to show the world as it is, to capture moments from people's lives in their natural environment, nature as it appears, marked by humans, life in all its glory, foreign or familiar. Although the pictures are taken in different places, a common thread runs through the exhibition, where artistic vision, ambition and, not least, the desire for adventure come together and form a whole.

Einar Falur was born in Keflavík but lives and works in Reykjavík. He received an MFA degree in photography from the School of Visual Arts, New York in 1994 and has worked at Morgunblaðið since 1981 as a photographer, reporter, cultural journalist and literary critic, as well as serving as its director of photography for twelve years. Einar Falur has been a part-time teacher at the Iceland Academy of the Arts since 1997 and has taught various photography courses, held solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Iceland and abroad. His photographs have also appeared in various magazines around the world. In addition to this, Einar Falur has managed exhibitions and published books, most recently he was one of the authors of the book Undrabörn, which was published on the occasion of Mary Ellen Mark's photography exhibition of the same name in the National Museum of Iceland and was nominated for the Icelandic Literature Prize in 2007.
