The photo-exhibition _Hlemmur_ by Helgi Halldórsson gives an insight into the daily life of passengers, regulars and staff of bus terminal Hlemmur. Helgi shot the photos in 2008-2009 but began with the preparations in 2007. In order to obtain the best results, Helgi stayed long hours at Hlemmur which allowed him to earn the trust and understanding of the people there during the project. The result is a sincere and realistic portrayal of the daily lives of people of all stages of society who pass by at this reknown Reykjavík bus station.

Helgi Halldórsson was born in Reykjavík in 1971 and lives there. His interest in photography began around 1990 when he was working at Morgunbladid newspaper where some of his photos appeared. Helgi is an amateur photographerand is an active member on Flickr.com and Ljósmyndari.is. He participated in the exhibition _Flickr Era – Digtal Horizons_ at the Reykjavik Museum of Photography in 2007. Also two of his photos were published in the annual photo-book Ljósár (Light Year) of 2009. He studied Photoshop & Photo Processing at the Computer & Engineering school in 2009 and has taken many courses in recent years.
