Reykjavík Museum of Photography

The Czech photographer Jirka Ernest grew up in Moravia but today lives in Prague and has studied at FAMU - the film and television academy in Prague, where he studied photography. The photos in the exhibition are taken in his native Czech Republic and are reflections on his life and childhood in Moravia and the changes that have taken place since then, influenced by the collapse of Communism.

He divides the material into five categories which he calls Home?, Signals, Light Exchange, Borders - South Moravia, Separate Cities -České Velenice.

Jirka has exhibited in many parts of Europe, but this is his first exhibition in Iceland.
