Árbær Open Air Museum

The summer of 2024 in Reykjavík was colorful and creative, thanks to Art Groups & Street Theatre from Hitt Húsið – Centre for Young People in Reykjavík. The idea was to document the plays, music and artistic creation of young people in Reykjavík and capture their journey from the first rehearsal to the final performance.

Gunnar Freyr photographed the street theater in a colorful environment that reflected the joy and vitality that characterized their collaboration. On the other hand, the art groups were photographed in black and white, which emphasized the personal and sometimes emotional atmosphere of their works.
