Reykjavík Museum of Photography

The theme of Heiða Helgadóttir´s exhibition, "Dream", at the Reykjavík Museum of Photography,  is about the feeling of living in another country and being homesick. Helgadóttir herself is not unfamiliar with the feeling, as she has been living abroad for several years.


Last year, Helgadóttir was selected as one of three representatives from Iceland in the international project called "European Borderlines". She worked as a staff photographer at Icelandic newspapers, Fréttablaðið, DV and Birtingur publishing, from 2004 to 2010. Then she moved to Portugal, where she worked as freelance photographer.  
She is currently studying Photojournalism at the the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark
