Reykjavík Museum of Photography

The exhibition The Harbour consists of 5 poems, 5 photographs and 5 short stories, each for one season, from one winter to another. They tell the one-year story of the artist’s obsessive memory, roaming the Icelandic landscapes, seeking to enter the past. 

In this project and in her writings in general, Julie seeks to express the vulnerability of the inner worlds, and the effects of lights, elements and landscapes on our minds. 


Julie Fuster (b.1988) is born and raised in France where she studied philosophy and art preservation in the Ecole du Louvre. She graduated in 2013. Working as an art framer, she is an autodidact writer and an amateur photographer. She is passionate about the role of amateur art in everyday life, and leads some personal researches about amateur photography. 

Her first poetry book has just been published (Plus la neige tombe sur le ciment, 2015, Editions Main Soleil, France). "The Harbour" is her first exhibition.
