Viking Village Workshop on Culture Night

To celebrate Culture Night, a Viking Village Workshop for children and families will be held at The Settlement Exhibition, Aðalstræti 16, on 22 August from 10:00 to 15:00. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

In a small bay by a little pond, a Viking village is beginning to take shape. But there is still plenty to be done: houses, workshops, footpaths, and boats all need to be built. Everyone who would like to help is welcome to come and cut, glue, colour, and help construct our village. This event is part of the Reykjavík City Museum’s diverse program for Culture Night. Accessibility is good in Aðalstræti. Please note that the lighting is rather dim inside the exhibition hall by the ruins, and the floor is uneven in some places. Guide dogs are welcome at the museum.
