Pop into the Reykjavík Museum of Photography on Museum Day for a fun-filled family adventure with games and challenges to enjoy as you explore the brand-new exhibition “Half a Century Through the Lens”! The exhibition highlights the incredible 50+ year career of news photographer Gunnar V. Andrésson, covering the years 1966 to 2017. To celebrate International Museum Day – 18 May, admission is free – the perfect opportunity for a day of play, discovery, and photography! The museum is fully accessible, and guide dogs are warmly welcome. Closest bus stops: Hafnarhús, Lækjartorg, and Ráðhúsið – just a short 2–5 minute walk. Parking is available by Grófarhús and in nearby parking garages, such as on Vesturgata.
