A Day at the Farm

Welcome to Árbær Open Air Museum on the Sundays of 15 June and 27 July at 13:00-16:00 for a unique opportunity to experience rural life from days gone by in a vibrant environment.
Visitors will learn about various tasks and daily life in the old rural community. A church service will be held in the small museum church at 14:00. Reverend Kristinn Ágúst Friðfinnsson will be the officiant. Dillon's House Café will be open and offers delicious refreshments in a cozy environment. Everyone is welcome! Accessibility: The museum’s footpaths are mainly gravel. Many historic houses have steps and thresholds. Service dogs are welcome. Public Transport: Nearest bus stop: Árbæjarsafn (1-minute walk). Other stops: Laxakvísl and Fagribær (5–6 minutes away). Free parking, including blue-badge parking spots opposite the entrance, is available.
